Do we know what he was carrying and how far the shot was that took out the shooter?

It was a Glock 17 or 19, police said it was from quite a distance, very proficient tactically was the wordage.

The identity of the shooter is in the link below from WLWT.com which I guess is a local source. I noticed this sentence in the article.

"Although authorities said Dicken was legally armed, the mall prohibits people from carrying weapons on its property."

The media is nothing but scumbags.

Well, it's safe to say the shooter was in violation of the mall's rules as well.

Two wrongs do make a right it seems.

He was legally carrying under under Indiana's Constitutional Carry law.

Impossible. Shannon Watts (Moms Demand Action) said it was illegal and what's wrong with the Second Amendment.

I'm going to go ahead and predict that some far left group will demand he get a first degree murder charge..and that justice system will eventually listen and charge him with first degree murder.

That's what happened with rittenhouse. That's what happened with that bar owner who ended up committing suicide.

I don't believe policy carries the force of law in Indiana.

They can get fricked. Dude should be celebrated, not worrying about the legality of saving many lives.

Attorney: No-gun policy won't create legal issue for armed bystander

If a customer does not adhere to the policy, a business owner can demand that the customer leaves. And if the customer ignores that demand, the customer is now trespassing, which is an Indiana crime.

But if no one asked Dicken to leave, then he wasn't trespassing.

"So the fact that (Greenwood Park Mall) had a no-gun policy creates no legal issue whatsoever for this gentleman," Relford said, "and it certainly has no effect whatsoever on his ability to use force to defend himself or to defend the other people in the mall."

Jody Madeira, an Indiana University law professor, echoed Relford's sentiment, agreeing that Dicken may have violated Simon Mall’s policy prohibiting firearms at the mall, but “he wasn’t committing a crime unless they asked him to leave and he refused.”

“It’s disrespectful,” she said of violating the mall’s policy, “but it’s not unlawful.”

Who gives a shite about that?

It's disrespectful to expect me to disarm myself and rely on incompetent mall cops...hell, incompetent cops period...to defend my family and myself.
