He registered for the site not even 60 days after you did. Are you suspect to?

Evidently Mc Connell is scared spitless of a shutdown and Schumer isn't thrilled at the idea.

On Twitter I’m seeing Schumer and McConnell struck a deal with corker and flake.

Nothing of this will be good.

Mitch is such a weak leader. frick

the shutdown is a political loser for the GOP at this juncture in time, sadly. it resonates only with the most solid of trump supporters.

Had he stuck to his guns in Oct, it would have been a different story.

If I remember correctly, Trump offered them more than they were asking for on DACA last time

Yep.

And they still bitch about Trump not taking a DACA deal

Mitch is by far the best Majority Leader in my lifetime. I guess you forgot about Garland and the 150 or federal judges he’s put on the bench along with Justice Kav. Cocaine Mitch is the toughest negotiator we’ve ever had.

Who cares?

Take the heat now and give yourself a chance in 2020. No one will GAF about this in two years. The GOP and Trump have embarrassed themselves and it's only going to be worse if they cave for 1.6B.

The base would take it extremely hard if Trump caves here, he will lose support. 1.6 is not a compromise it is admission of defeat.

Then why not do what dems always do? Get their votes and then ignore what they promised them. Doesn't seem to hurt the dems every time they pull that.

You keep crying about it, but when has a shutdown hurt the GOP?

they probably would but there's a lot more time to build trust back up with his base vs. building back favor with the indies/middle.

also if the dems run some white-hating socialist like they are parading around now, chances are not many people are going to care about losing 3.4b on this one vote when 2020 rolls around

24h news cycle and social media wasn't in full swing then.

Good news for any possibly furloughed employees is that nowadays they can just start a GoFundMe and make 10x as much as their actual paycheck would have been. Then still collect back pay when the shut down is resolved
