Well, if we are talking about modern Dragons, there is a lot of Misogyny towards women in the gay community.
As I said, I was friends with a fellow who was a dead-ringer for Marilyn Monroe when he did drag.
He loved Marilyn , so perverting her image wasn't gonna happen.
That was in the early Nineties, totally different mindset.

Here’s the deal. I actually personally know a drag queen.
He’a just a gay dude who thinks it’s a costume and is as over the top as possible with it. He doesn’t think he’s a woman and he doesn’t want to remove his penis. He also doesn’t want to make it the part of any school curriculum or convert childen. It’s a weird hobby. In his regular life he dresses like a normal guy and actually has a beard. He shaves it off for shite like gay Mardi Gras balls that involve adults. It is my understanding that this is what drag queens are all about. It’s like Nathan Lane in the Birdcage. Have at it.
Drag Queen Story hour is not age appropriate bc drag queens themselves exist as adult entertainment and whatever floats your boat as a consenting adult. I’d be as freaked out if a bunch of Dancers with Rick’s performed for a bunch of kindergarteners- for the same reasons.
By contrast - transgenders are literally mentally ill
And are filled with self loathing, so they want everyone to be miserable too. They’re the freaks that want to convert other people’s kids to self soothe. It is neither age appropriate and also is an utter violation of the relationship btwn parent and child. Teaching a child to hate himself is child abuse.

If you ever saw him in full regalia, you wouldn't believe your eyes.
In the real-world he (yep, stereotypically) was a hair-stylist, slightly effeminate, but dressed like a man....a really, really well-dressed man.

I agree completely, and it's always nice to see that there's a little bit of rational thought among the Alphabet People. The problem is that the drag community have allowed themselves to become the latest frontline soldiers in the left's war on traditional American values.

Several of my friends do drag. None of them are transgender.
It is clowning. Period.
One of the guys I know has won national pageants. He is a dead ringer for Cher when he drags. He also dresses as a country bumpkin with sagging breasts who is just insane. And it’s hilarious. His makeup for this routine is very similar to a clown’s.
