So, I'm not going to shed tears for Cohen.
Me either

By all means, bash the dude for being a liar and a shite witness, but having a girlfriend or not is pretty irrelevant to whether or not crimes have taken place

Anyway, I hope Gaetz does go down that road and makes an arse of himself again in front everybody

I love watching my congressman dance for his audience

I agree. But, I also know this shite happens often.

'I heard Shoo-Booty say "I'm gonna kill her" and I saw him kill her!'

"Sir, isn't it true that you smoke....WEED!!!!???"

Asking Cohen about his affairs goes directly to his credibility, especially since he's accusing someone of potential crimes. T

He tweeted this to stop the witness from testifying.

There is no way in hell he faces prosecution for this but censure is a distinct possibility.

I'm sure you're all going to be shocked to learn that Congressmembers are not immune from prosecution for federal witness tampering.

It's like the old adage.. Just because a woman's a whore, it doesn't mean she's blind

I’m sure you will be shocked to learn that what gaetz did, while immature, comes nowhere near federal witness tampering. That won’t stop you from lying like you always do...but this isn’t even a close call. It’s clear as day.

That's really for prosecutors to determine. What, in your mind, was his purpose for threatening Michael Cohen on the eve of the latter's testimony before Congress? Be specific.

Yep, per Mr Webster -hypocrites -

1 : a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2 : a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

Hmmm.

Ugh. Ok. Let’s go through it. What section of code do you claim Gaetz violated.

Here is how this will play out. You will google for a code section. You will post it. I will point out how it isn’t applicable and you will never return to the thread. But I’m willing to do this for you. Just to prove once and for all you have zero problem lying.

So.....what is the code section?

Yikes. See. This here is a strong indication you have zero idea how this works.

Ratings and to raise his own profile. His own statements indicate he wants Cohen to testify. Because witness tampering is a specific intent crime, you'd have to prove Gaetz had the intent to prevent Cohen from testifying, which his own statements from texts to Alex Ward contradict.

Gaetz: Watch tomorrow.

Ward: Will do -- anything I should be prepared for?

Gaetz: Fireworks

I'm gonna go with 18 USC $ 1505 (not bothering to find the symbol on my keyboard shortcuts), which makes it a federal crime to use a threatening letter or communication to influence, obstruct, or impede an inquiry or investigation being conducted by a Congressional committee.

Since we both agree that what Gaetz did was try to influence Cohen's testimony, that should be fun for prosecutors.

Speech and debate clause.
Also Gaetz is one of the folks tasked with investigating.

Those are just two off the top of my head. Want to try again?
