The researchers also found that people who had SARS-CoV-2 previously and then received one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine were more highly protected against reinfection than those who once had the virus and were still unvaccinated.
Worthless information without
1) by what factor
2) at what risk
If I’ve had Covid, why get ‘vaccinated’ if the factor is 1.07X, and the risk of blood clotting from the ‘vaccine’ is 1 in 5

My feeling is if you're 50 or older, get it. 40 -- closer call. Under 30 and healthy -- I totally understand not wanting it.

The risk of blood clotting from the vaccines is 20%?

hy·po·thet·i·cal (hi'p?-thet'i-k?l)
adj. also hy·po·thet·ic (-thet'ik)
1. Of, relating to, or based on a hypothesis: a hypothetical situation.
2. Conditional; contingent: the hypothetical meaning of a clause beginning with if.
n.
A hypothetical circumstance, condition, scenario, or situation: OK, let's consider this possibility then—just as a hypothetical.

That's a nonsensical hypothetical if the insinuation is that the vaccine produces a rate of VTE several orders of magnitude higher than the rate it occurs in the general population. You leave no option but to accept the presupposition given those conditions.

word salad
n. A nonsensical assemblage of words, typical of schizophrenia, Wernicke's aphasia, and some other mental disorders.
n. Meaningless text generated by a computer.
n. jumble of incoherent speech as sometimes heard in schizophrenia

Exactly how I feel, The elderly/obese that die unvaccinated are a sad story. They probably should have received the vaccine.... But forcing College kids, Military, businesses to mandate this is just stupid.
Until I start seeing young healthy people in ICU dying then I will just stick with my vitamins and exercise.

Lol. I'm happy to take any hypothetical seriously so I can talk about immunology, but if the conditions are that any vaccine increases the chances of a VTE to that degree, how could any reasonable person suggest anyone take it?

Now on mandates…..elect better public officials.
Public officials? Did you forget about all those private companies doing it as well. I guess nobody is supposed to work either? Clown.

Millions of shots. Not hard to catalogue the side effects, and report them, whether it’s 1 in 5 or 1 in 500M.
Data matters. All data.
Data matters. All data.

But there's a meaningful difference between 1 in 5 and 1 in 500 mil, for a discussion about the potential effects across a population. And I know data matters, hence why I'm couching the discussion in the epidemiology of VTE.

It’s a hypothetical question you f$@king moron. Whatever the value actually is, you should by now KNOW it. Ask yourself, why don’t I know it?

No you’re fricking stupid - I’m tired of the researchers and the news media and big tech cherry picking all their data (whether it’s election polls, climate change data, or their beloved Covid) and then force feeding it authoritatively to the public through iPhone news, 15 second Colbert snippets during NFL games, or on mainstream podcasts

People get the flu shot and still get the flu.
People don’t get the flu shot and still get the flu.
People have had the flu several times in their life and still get the flu.
People have had the flu get a flu shot and still get the flu.
I mean…

Fully vaccinated people have a100% chance of contracting the virus compared to unvaccinated dead people So that’s a win

I suspect that a natural covid infection and recovery is apt to produce a wider spectrum immune response because the viruses are not all perfectly identical and then too there may be more elements the immune system keys on than just the protein spike alone.
Pfizer, Moderna and J&J create identical covid protein spikes to trigger the immune response. Such uniformity may result in a narrower spectrum of immunity.
Novavax will be a traditional vaccine that grows a batch of covid virus, kills it and then extracts the spike protein. It may create a broader spectrum of immunity as a result.
