That’s the people’s fault for agreeing to become reality years ago. Going home is not the problem as getting paid a salary to do it. There should be no congressional salary’s at all. You can't point to a SINGLE thing I have said that indicates OMB motivates me. Like almost all MAGA, I wanted the Epstein files released, and looked forward to Trump fulfilling his campaign promise to release the files. Initially, the Trump Administration looked like it was going to do that.

For some still unexplained reason, Trump's position changed. Like every rational person, including Massie, I knew that the file material didn't plausibly implicate Trump, because the Democrats surely would have used that info to nuke Trump. MTG said that Trump told her he didn't want the files released because that would embarrass (not even criminally implicate) his friends. That sounds right. It's what Massie believes.

Whatever the actual reason, it was TERRIBLE politics not to follow through on the release promise.

As for names, Massie named 14 the other night that he thought still deserved investigation. Most of those names wouldn't be known publicly but for Massie’s bill that Trump signed. The Trump DOJ still hasn't released 3 million files or a redaction log. It's a BAD look.

Katie Phang's lawsuit is CRUSHING the DOJ. My guess is that the judge will end up appointing a special master to review the reasons for DOJ's failure to follow Trump's law.
