I’d assert, a traditional marital structure creates a situation whereby intelligence is more of a factor in the choice of a breeding partner than in the alternative.

It's more about resource allocation and certain cultural traits that are found more often in higher-IQ populations.

It's a reinforcement mechanism. Pathological cultures do not engage in this reinforcement and after a few generations don't even have the ability to engage in it.

The simplest behavior that I think we've found is reading to young children. Language is a huge variable in developing and increasing IQ over time. That's the leading theory on developed societal IQ increasing the past 100 years or so. We've ha an explosion over that time period in exposure to language in our daily lives.

The problem with your theory is even if we take it as true, society is running in the complete opposite direction. Schools, testing, reading = bad. Victimization and dysfunction - optimal.

I mean we're still not as bad as the 80s and 90s

But yes. The problem is being able to call pathological behaviors and culture, pathological. That's why academics who engage in this silliness have to stretch so hard to explain why everything else is the cause, and even then they don't like to even hint at the marginalized populations being pathological in any way.

Maybe. I don’t think there’s ever been a time where being ignorant and lazy has ever been more celebrated or coddled.

adherents espouse the superiority of the two-parent married family

Every study done using almost all metrics prove this to be true professor dumbass.

“Although the social science on the immense benefits of strong, intact families is unimpeachable, this author simply waves them away,” Schilling said. “She ignores the extreme harm that has come to minority Americans as a result of family breakdown in their communities.”

Marriage promotes 'White supremacy,' according to White university professor

This might be the most racist thing toward black people I've heard in a long time.

They are admitting they believe black people arent capable of achieving this lofty milestone.

I agree marriage sucks and should be outlawed(jk) but really Marriage is an antiquated idea. Why take a perfectly healthy relationship and let the government get their hands on it. Stay with your child's mother or father but there's no reason to get married.

I grew up in the 70s. came of age in the 80s and lived my young adult life in the 90s

If youre a stat hound this is probably correct. If you lived through it, you realize society is falling apart, the new "communities" have no real substance.

The meek shall inherit the earth compadre, they're coming after you too. You'll be one of the last to realize it.

Not if you want children.

If you dont. I dont really give a frick about your politics. Dont vote, let people who have a stake in the future decide things.

This is type of Professor in which you took the class because it was required for the degree .......

On the last day of class, you took the notebook and tossed it in the trash on the way out.

Hmmm, I think she has an excellent point. It might also explain the difference in crime rates. She could write a new paper:
"Obeying the Law Promotes White Supremacy."

They destroyed the entire racism spectrum with their language.

Anything white people do more successfully than black people is racist to progressives.

Family, community, etc.

Marriage promotes a God-ordained order for mankind. Those who oppose it are opposing something good and a blessing for humanity.

Bethany Letiecq is an associate professor in the College of Education and Human Development, specializing in the utilization of community-based participatory action research approaches, anti-racist research methods (see LINK and mixed method designs (e.g., qualitative and quantiative methods) in partnership with minoritized and marginalized families. In her work, she documents the structural forces (law, policies, practices) that cause stressors, erode family health, and hinder family functioning. She also examines the ways families adapt and adjust to and resist structural forces, including structural racism and inequality, to achieve their goals. Guided by community partners, she works to translate research to action for systems change.

Currently, she is working on several projects in Virginia: 1) documenting the lived experiences of Black families residing in public housing targeted for redevelopment; 2) conducting research and action with undocumented immigrant families mainly from Central America to document their health and family and community contexts, including housing and engagement within the public school system; and 3) evaluating family-based health and nutrition interventions with Central American and other immigrant families. Previosuly, she worked in partnership with Native American and White grandparents rearing grandchildren, successfully advocating for law changes in Montana to advance grandparent rights when providing primary care of their grandchildren. She also worked with Mexican migrants to Montana to support access to health care, education-based services, and migrant justice. With her community partners, she co-founded the Montana Immigrant Justice Alliance (MIJA.org), a statewide nonprofit working for immigrant rights, and Amigas de la Comunidad, a NOVA-based community advisory board.
