I disagree, it needed to be done this way in order for the American people to witness it.

Trump was obviously under the impression that all the details were worked out, both sides were in agreement, and this was going to be a nice publicity opportunity showing the US and Ukraine are on the same page. Zelensky comes in, they have a friendly discussion, he signs the deal, and they go have lunch. Zelensky would not have flown to the US just to have an argument and not agree to the deal. They could have done that over a phone call.
Zelensky came here under false pretenses to sabotage the deal because he thought he could pressure Trump face-to-face in front of the media to get more and Trump did not go for it.
It is like when you were a kid being an idiot in the store and your mom grabbed you by the arm and whispered she was going to beat your arse outside or in the bathroom. But some moms would say frick it and beat your arse right there in front of everybody. Zelesnky got the arse beating in front of everybody.

I saw this interview yesterday and Kaitlan kept trying to get her "gotcha " questions in there. Marco knocked every question out of the park. If you watch her she's not even paying attention she's ready for the next question and she tried like hell to interrupt him over and over again. Marco kicked arse in this interview!
