They are all spineless worms, pretty much all of them save for a few.

It's cute how they always magically get just the number they need to go along with the Dems on something that their base doesn't want. And somehow everyone going with it is either retiring or just recently was elected and has the majority of their term left.

And you can sure as shite bet that whatever they agreed to as a "bipartisan compromise", will never involve the other side compromising on anything. It will just be our side capitulating to them, but not as much as the other side wants.

The Republican party exists for two reason. It is to placate patriotic Americans upset with the controlled decline and takeover of this country, and also to act as gatekeepers to any real movement or backlash against the swamp. That is it, they play the role of good cop and the Dems play bad cop... but they are both not on your side.

They are there to provide the appearance of opposition.

Even though it is all theater.

We need to open our minds up to the fact that at the end of the day, it's our fault. The base level conservative.

We have the representation that we've funded/elected.

We're the ones that need to make a change.

Having spent time in ground level politics and activism, it becomes pretty depressing knowing how lazy, ignorant, and misinformed most Republican voters are.

I think the main problem is that they have politics so rewarding financially. Most probably got into originally to fight the Dems but now are so softened by the cash that they don’t know how to fight anymore and will do anything to not stop the gravy train. There probably isn’t many congressmen, governors, or senators that aren’t worth 100x more than they were before entering politics.

Just as the DC Sewer needs to be nuked the same could be said of the Republican Party…..it really is controlled opposition.

Yes. Why is this even a question?

It's more than that. There's something in a conservative's DNA that stands in the way of collective action, and in politics - that's a killer.

This message board is a good example. There are a lot of smart, well-resourced, engaged conservatives that participate in these threads fairly routinely. As far as I know, nothing real world has been hatched here - no group or effort. I think it's very different on the other side of the political spectrum, and that's a strength for them, a weakness (politically) for us.

Then we end up with the greater evil.

We need to replace the "lesser evil" with the "good".

I sure wish a 3 party system would work for conservatives here in America.....

Unfortunately, the GOP is all we got. And it looks like the GOP is leaning more left every year.

I wish we had more "John Kennedys"!

This country has quite likely never had a national election that was not pre determined as to who is running. Until Trump, and that is likely never going to be repeated if they can help it.
So NO, we don't have reasonably choices.

I’ve said since last election, trump should have broken off and started a third party and campaigned it’s existence almost immediately after leaving office.

It's not just about the oval office. In fact, it's far more about congress. But in any case, we have the choices we make for ourselves. And therein lies the problem for conservatives - - - we are far too comfortable expecting someone else to do the heavy lifting for us. We want our efforts to be limited to voting and perhaps a donation or two.

It was wrong to engage with the Democrats on gun control legislation. The only action that Republicans should take is to obstruct the communist agenda of the Biden administration.
