What is your point about growing up?
You think that kids are the ones that would resent abusive cops? Cops that prefer to kill an innocent civilian that dares treat them with less than the respect they think they deserve than have a conversation with that person?
I think someone has grown up when they realize they should fully cooperate with the police even if they are innocent and feel they are being abused.
Someone has grown up when they realize they are not going to win a physical confrontation with the police.
Someone has grown up when they do whatever the police ask them to do at the time and straighten it all out later through the legal system.

The point is, you are supporting the actions of the police. I am aware that I am not going to come out on top in any confrontation with the police.
If your statement was that the victim needed to grow up according to your definition, well that would have likely saved his life. However, your statement has nothing to do with those of us that think the cops broke the law and need to go to jail because of that. We are not fighting with the cops, we are holding the opinion that the cops should be bound by the same laws they are hired to uphold.
You have been doing all you can to support the position that the cops- who killed an innocent man- have done nothing wrong. Essentially saying that anyone that does not bow to every whim of a cop deserves to die if the cops decide to kill him.

The trick is to be a real threat, then the cops hide in their cruisers 2 blocks down.

A man is dead. A man that committed no crime is dead. A man that committed no crime, but resisted the thugs in blue is dead.
If it was me and 4 of my buddies that were there and not 5 cops and the same events took place, there would be 5 people in jail.
So you do have a problem with male authority but you need your own little gang to back you up.
Why don't you go out on a highway overpass by yourself with a gun and shoot at the next highway patrol car that passes under it?
That'll prove that you are in charge!

Tell me why the cops have more rights to harm someone than a civilian does?
Because they are the thin blue line whose job it is to protect the law abiding people from the criminals. Duh!

Who protects the law abiding people from the thin blue line?

Tell that to all the violent criminals who are sitting in prison because they thought the cops were just chickenshits.

I'm being serious.

DawgfaninCa, just a bit of advice for an apparently extremely naive fellow. If you are ever in the position of being directed to """fully cooperate""" with the police "even if you are innocent," and are being abused, EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT AND GET A LAWYER.
Regarding the right to remain silent:
Frankly, as you'll eventually realize, you should have exercised your right to remain silent prior to posting in this thread.

Why do you think all cops are male? I despise female cops equally. You really are stuck in the 50s aren't you?

So do you think every cop wants bad cops among their ranks?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 9:28 pm to DawgfaninCa
No way. But people and dogs who've broken no laws still wind up dead sometimes.

you keep citing this phrase about male authority. hmmmm???

They have more rights than we do? Where was this criminal that these 5 thugs were protecting the citizens from?
You have more going on than you are willing to admit on here. This is not rational thought we are hearing from you, but rather an emotional commitment to a position regardless of the facts.
