Posted by Message DawgfaninCa Man dead after refusing to show police ID I saw much more of the video before what was shown and although what occurred is tragic it is another good example why you should always cooperate with the police even when you are innocent. Supposedly, the deceased got combative with the police while being questioned as a suspect for domestic violence and the police had to subdue him. What are the police supposed to do when someone gets combative and refuses to cooperate while being questioned? Ask the person to stop being combative pretty please?
Link?

The good thing about the chief is he doesn't have to wait for any ongoing investigation, he has already made up his mind. He saw nothing wrong and it was a good kill. I bet the fine people of Moore are proud of those cops.

Combative can man a lot of things. Could mean he resisted being thrown to the ground.
I guess the correct answer is thrown them on the ground and have 5 grown men subdue him??
Am I doing this right?

He could have become combative once the police started grabbing him then threw him to the ground? For not showing them his ID?

Yep, just one more example of cops acting like thugs.
We won't hear a peep from the "good cops" who should be demanding these individuals be held accountable for their actions. That is probably because good cops don't exist.
Once again though, nothing will come of this. These thugs will get docked a little bit of pay, suspended for a short amount of time, and then go about their merry little lives. The rest of us would be locked away for doing something like that.
We just get held to a higher standard than the uneducated, adrenaline junkies who happen to be backed by the government and can harass and assault citizens at whim.

Not to hijack just a quick note: I watched a show about your Ancient Faith last night and was stunned. I am looking to find something else on it here shortly.

Stupid. If you want to see an example of cop worship read this thread. There is me and Alahunter supporting the position that maybe you should wait till you know all the facts to judge e a cops actions.
And everyone else blaming every other blight on cops.

Guess we could blame the dead guy. You know, like the chief did.

The massive increase in incarceration is due to the failed "War on Drugs" over the past 40 years and the corporate prison industrial complex that grew to provide the infrastructure for the prisoners. Build it and we will arrest them and house them in it. The blame goes once again to our corrupt bought and paid for Congress. Lobbyists for these private companies have driven the phenomenon.

did you know cops are to blame for the high incarceration rate in america?
Here i thought politicians criminalizing drugs was
Did you know cops kill more dangerous than criminals?
Everytime a story like this comes out people do 2 things
1. Blame the cop without knowing the circumstances or all the facts
2. proceed to hold it up as an example of how all cops are bad.

Cop worship, military worship, gun worship and throw in a little dash of Jesus and you have the Republican Party playbook every four years.

Cops can shoot (clearly shooting is not the only way to kill someone that talks back or refuses to bow) 1st and ask questions later (or not), however, we should wait until the jury verdict before we offer an opinion that is less that favorable to the police.

They did so with lethal force.
Those are the circumstances.
They are indisputable.
I'd hope this is not an example of cops behavior in general.
Unfortunately, whether comon or not, experience teaches it is not exceedingly rare behavior either

You have a right to not answer their questions.
You are not forced as a citizen on a street legally outside a theater to not vote to them. They are not lords.

They didn't shoot him That is lethal force., and we don't know why they used force at all. We don't know all the fact souroudding the circumstances.
Freak accidents happen that are not expected. Is it possible they just brushed this poor guy? Yes very. I wouldn't' be surprised if that happened based off of what i saw. But there are other possibilities. we don't know the full story.

I would say it is rare. Cases like are just bette news than cops doing good things. People seem to trust the media when it suits their own perceptions of things.
