Jesus, thats sickening. How easy is it to get into a police academy these days?!

Guess it depends on where you are. It's pretty hard here, but the pay is great and you get a lot of applicants for one job. I applied and was accepted into the Academy in mid 90's, and there were 200 people applying for 4 jobs, mostly from out of State.

I know back in Bossier, it was a lot different.

possibly an ongoing internal investigation.

Prepare to be underwhelmed. As linked earlier, many of these aren't investigated thoroughly.

Releasing those at this point would impact the investigation how?

Well by all means if that is policy, in behalf of those innocent cops, they should simply continue their investigation indefinitely.

Where did you see that they did an autopsy?

You said 11 days ago, but that is when he died. So far all the articles form today says the autopsy report is bending.

If he died 11 days ago I would be willing to bet alot of money the autopsy has been done for a while now. Its not really something you just wait on.

eta- It's an unfortunate tragedy that was brought on by the actions of the wife. There are consequences to actions. Yelling and screaming doesn't change that.

- I guess this off-duty cop wearing his uniform, while working private hotel security is then guilty under your definition of who causes the resultant death....
video - NSFW

BTW...I think the cop was justified here, sadly your pathetic arguments put you on the other side if you arent a hypocrite.

One article says they are still waiting on toxicology reports before deciding on what caused his death.

These desktop jockies are playing judge jury and executioner, and then holding it as indicative of the entire profession.

Pathetic.

Clearly all cops are not bad cops. But many allow the power they have to ruin or end people's lives go to their head.

The problem I have and many on here it seems, is that the seemingly good cops are content to turn their heads to the deeds of the bad cops. They are all too often unwilling to fulfill their duties as keepers of the law when the criminal wears a badge.

No one films cops doing good things though.

Not true. A few weeks ago there was a recording of the cop in SD that gave the kid some money at a fast food place right before he was killed.

Seemed like a decent cop.

A gang of cops do not need chemicals to subdue and handcuff someone that is fighting with them.

Not sure how 5 police officers getting physical with 1 unarmed man can be deemed reasonable.

You just dont get it do you? The top cop said it is reasonable. IT IS REASONABLE.

How dare you question the police.

Is the autopsy report back yet? Do we know the fact yet. These fine public servants put their life on the line in situations like this everyday to protect us from the likes of this young girl.

I would not shed a tear for one of these guys.

I saw much more of the video before what was shown and although what occurred is tragic it is another good example why you should always cooperate with the police even when you are innocent. Supposedly, the deceased got combative with the police while being questioned as a suspect for domestic violence and the police had to subdue him. What are the police supposed to do when someone gets combative and refuses to cooperate while being questioned? Ask the person to stop being combative pretty please?

The old argument that it's just a few bad apples

Maybe a few bad apples being allowed to do what they want with penalty has been a factor in getting more bad apples.

so that would be a reason they wouldn't release the report. I don't remember who was asking.
