It’s the same one. Over and over. Takes chicken about 13 hours or less to nuke him.

Not really, but I'm also not quite as into Cali wines as others are so I've only heard of it.
I felt the same way when I heard of it. But dammit if I don’t find myself having a glass and then looking at the year…. Now I’m not so sure. Has to be in my head.

Every year is different. 2020 in Napa was bad for most places because of the fires.
Some years its too hot, some years it rains during harvest and that can frick the crop. Some years its too cold. It can be different from valley to valley.
Its farming. Sure there is some science and art mixed in, but its farming.
But certainly the can do things to help the process.
Chateau Pontet Canet is a 5th Growth Bordeaux. 30-ish years ago they were sold, and well before everyone else decided to go more biodynamic. They don't use machines in the fields, they use horses and mules. They handpick. They destem every single grape by hand. They allow wildflowers to grow and don't use much pesticide (none, I think).
As a result, they have become one of the best bordeauxs you can be for the price, and would certainly be reclassified as a 2nd Growth if that was a thing

Don't worry they have come up with plenty.

It’s easy for something like that to be imprinted on your brain.

If you read Aldo Som's book Wine Simple (GREAT BOOK especially for beginners) he talks about the whole phenomenon of wines tasting different by the Moon calendar, and how some people believe it, and when to drink certain wines.
First time I had ever heard of it and its the stupidest thing I have ever seen. There's just no way in my mind its true, but I have talked to some pros and some of them do buy in

I’ll check out that book. I am a beginner for sure. I just know what I like when I taste it. I can’t tell you what is in it, though. I think it’s hilarious when people are describing “notes of X”. I just drink it and say. “Mmmm. I like this one”

As your friend I should tell you to find another hobby besides wine.
You are a bottle of white zin away from getting a visit from the SS.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume FB doesn’t drink white zin.

Do you honestly think I drink a lot? Get over it man.
I probably drink less than you. Wine is an intellectual pursuit. I find it to be an interesting topic and have for years. I travel around the world and like to experience things.
I might drink 2-4 glasses over a weekend and not at all during the week.
Whatever your perception is of me is completely wrong.
