By the way, the lone person under the age of 18 that Epstein was convicted of having sex with was Ashley Davis, who has to her credit insisted she was not a victim and it was consensual. She had sex with Epstein a day before she turned 18.
Again, no one has to endorse Epstein’s skeevy lifestyle to observe that if the intercourse with Ashley Davis had taken place in New York, or Massachusetts, or one state north in Georgia, she would have been above the legal age of consent in those jurisdictions, and the entire legal trajectory of this debacle would have been drastically different.
