So Obama gets credit for all of those jobs that Trump inflated the numbers of, right?
Did Obama personally call the employers on the phone or meet with them?
If Obama did something, give him credit. If someone else did it, give the other person credit. Simple.

Sorry to hear you are stupid there TaekwondoJesus.
If you don't realize the difference between what has happened under obummer's watch and what looks promising when Trump takes office maybe you should stay out of the Political Talk forum.
Too ignorant/stupid/dum.

Macy's shouldn't have tried to affect the election. When they involved themselves in the political arena, some people took exception to that and chose not to shop there. I know for a fact this is why I did zero Christmas shopping in Macys this past season. My wife and I have always included Macy's in our shopping jaunts until this year.
The last two pair of boots I purchased for my wife came from Macys.
It wasn't Trump that caused the Macy's store closings and job loss, it was Macy's playing politics that made people choose not to shop there.

I agree! Sadly, we don't have any up here. But I order online from them whenever possible. Macy's is a trainwreck of a store.

Big department stores have been in serious decline for years now. Thank internet retailers, especially Amazon Prime. If you want to keep places like Macy's open, then go shop in store instead of online.
Sears, Macy's, JC Penney, The Limited, and a whole bunch of other mall-based chains have been closing stores because of dwindling traffic. Online retail is slowly killing a lot of malls.
Kmart and Office Depot are closing stores too, even Walmart has a few closures coming up.
This has all been coming slowly for the past 10-15 years because shopping online is easy and a lot of times its cheaper.
FYI - A lot of brick and mortar stores will price match Amazon if you show them the Amazon price on your phone. Shop in store whenever you can to keep more stores from closing

Of course they did. Hoping for some of that GM money.
Wasn't Ford one of the companies the Obama Administration gave some shite to bc they didn't take the federal offer for a handout?
I'm genuinely asking...

Hey thanks for savings those 700 jobs at Carrier, Donald. Only 9300 jobs needed to break even now!
Try to keep up.

Macy's said Wednesday it's shutting down 68 stores and cutting more than 10,000 jobs.
Oh no. What will Esplanade Mall do without Macy's? What about the customers?
Oh, I guess they'll just go the 6-7 miles to Lakeside Mall.
Just a little perspective.

Maybe you were 12 in 2008, but Ford could have taken bailout money back then when GM and Chrysler did and chose not to. They did the right thing, on their own.

Kudos to them for not actually taking the bailout money, but they did push for it heavily, they took billions in other forms of federal assistance, they took a federal loan for billions, and they pushed for a credit line from the government for $9 billion in case they went down, too.
Ford was quiet about fricking over taxpayers, then they put out some commercials about how great of a company they were for not letting you know they were doing it.
Yay Ford for doing the right thing.

They dropped Trumps line because they said he was a racist based on the comments he made about illegal aliens committing crimes in the US.

Okay, link? I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if they believed it was necessary for the survival of the industry that their rivals remain competitive, but it doesn't change their end of things.

Not uncommon in many industries.

Okay. Not the same thing as taking bailout money. So yeah, whatever floats your boat.

It should be easy enough to find.
Look, I get it. You're OK with government theft as long as it's the right kind given to the right company.
