What's the point of this? I don't remember debates like this outside of elections before. Maybe I missed them, but is this normal? Wouldn't someone at the upper party leadership need to approve this on both sides? Why would R leadership approve?

People were open minded to his ideas during the primary and he was rejected by the American people. He lost to Hilldog.

Trump should have asked Cruz to do the oral argument for the 9th Circuit

I have come to a conclusion
Sanders looks like the crazy moonbat doc in Back to the Future
Ted is really going to do this? Ted had some morals I thought? But this will be entertaining to watch.
Dems will say Sanders
Rep say Cruz, of course
The one thing that will be fun to see is if Ted goes off on how Sanders claims USA needs free healthcare like others but fails to mention the 60% rates those countries pay.

Unfortunately Cruz comes across as a smarmy used car salesman. So even when he nails a point, it's potentially cringeworthy.
Although his dismantling of Dems during the Sessiions confirmation hearing was nothing short of glorious.
Guys like that can usually talk the panties off of anything. Surprised his wife isn't smokin hot.
