The vast majority of LSU students pick up the Reveille to see if there are any coupons for Burger King or Raisin Canes. Been that way since long before there was a Raisin Canes. Substitute McDonald's. Most kids are conservative and worried more about who they are going with to the football game on Saturday.

This snack bar idiot does not represent LSU, the students, the football or baseball team or any significant %age of the people on the campus. The Reveille is lab work for the Journalism School which for at least the last 40 years been the most out of touch, liberal
Self centered narcissistic entity on campus.

I liked the bar advertising once upon a time.

I agree there is racial bias in public mourning.

People went apeshit when drug addict and wife abuser George Floyd died. Hell, rioters caused BILLIONS of dollars worth of damage but we were called racists for noticing.

Now, a popular Christian conservative is gunned down in front of his family, and his mourners hold vigils. People on the left are losing their damned minds (and jobs in some cases) because we dare to mourn his loss.

We are not the same.

Plain and simple, no, it doesn't. It does highlight that people are more emotionally affected at the deaths of more morally upstanding people. Some people anyway, some people are exactly the opposite, and the reactions to those deaths tells you everything you need to know.
