When will the children running this department ever learn that these types of images will not bring people together. An athlete should never, ever be identified by their race nor should their race have anything to do with the way they are treated or supported.

And the comments...

LSU Athletics remains a disgrace throughout this whole "movement".

Thank God for 2019.

Man it would suck to be young and white and trying to get ahead in 2020.

How stupid can LSU Athletics continue to be?

Are they insinuating that a black athlete some how needs more support than any other race of athlete? Its absurd.

If more people would get out of their feelings, and get in the presence of God...

Pretty soon, the Lord is going to crack the sky and none of this will matter at all.

Its so important that we pray now more than ever before. If some of you could only see what time it is right now. Lord have mercy on us and help us.

I'm so glad they're doing this. Makes me feel better and better for telling them I was not renewing my season tickets for next year after 19 seasons.

To be honest, after taking that personal stand, I'd be pretty bent out of shape if they suddenly backtracked on the whole thing and apologized. Thankfully that's not going to happen...

Did they reply to you? If so, Do you mind sharing what they had to say to your stance?

Amen, but think about the message they are sending. It can only be one of two things:

1) Only the support of black athletes is important. All other athletes are irrelevant unless they are black.

Or

2) The black athlete needs additional support that other races of athletes don't need.

Either way it is a bad look and is completely unnecessary. The "leadership" in the Athletic department needs to roll heads and if they approved this message need to hit the road.

God is making it to where you aren't going to be able to get through these times without a strong relationship with him.

Ask God to help you to get rid of all the idols in your life. The time is right now, this is the season to prepare, because its only going to get harder and harder.

Athens and UGA could give them a run for the money but, we would probably lose that game too...

Did they explain what’s wrong with their black athletes? I mean, they’re getting a full ride free of charge to a major university. Housing, food, education (I use that term loosely) and the opportunity to build upon that into wealth and fame. For free! For being able to run fast and jump high! So what’s their problem again? That LSU needs to coddle them some more?

Doesn't matter if athletic or not.

Might actually be worse being white and athletic. If it's your only shot at a better future, you must bow to the minorities and the woke-joke mob or be forever excommunicated.

This shite is gonna get ugly.

I also remember hearing about how incredible and strong the new LSU leadership is. Great leadership would never let these things happen in the Athletic Dept. LSU Athletics should never engage itself in political antics.
