That’s not an accurate comparison. Do homes now have the same number of bedrooms? The same size? Small kitchens where only Mom could cook? Same number of bathrooms? And let’s look at the materials and conveniences in those homes. It’s not something you can compare…..like at all.
I live in a historical district. My home as well as all of my 100s of neighbors homes are 130 years old or more.
My house is pretty much entirely original minus electrical and plumbing upgrades over time. You certainly can very easily compare home prices decade by decade using the exact situation I’m in, just adjust for inflation by year.
Newsflash, homes are way the frick more expensive for interior quality. You’re beyond delusional if you even think to argue otherwise.

Bad choices snowballing into a pathological culture over a few generations.
Bad choices like being born into poverty and denied an adequate education? Bad choices like your grandpa or father facing prolonged unemployment due to explicit employment discrimination? Discriminatory practices bred negative effects that compounded over generations.

No no the MAGA types use "globalism" as the vague, institutional boogeyman (the corollary for systemic racism for Leftists)
sorry - I don’t understand. Are you denying that deindustrialization is what decimated the rust belt? Or agreeing with it? Denying the existence of systemic racism only shows that you don’t know much American history.

Schools are mandated to protect bad kids via insane/illogical educational policies, and these bad kids are allowed to linger and ensure few, if any, children around them get an education
Right, ensuring there will be people with no other options than to fill low-skill/low-wage jobs. It’s all intentional. The smart kids you’re concerned about would just be collateral damage if they can’t find their bootstraps.
