Louisiana is more "central power" than any other state in the union.

It's a big reason our property taxes are so low (that in conjunction with the highest in the country homestead exemption).

Baton Rouge collects a ton of money and then allows it to be doled out as political pork to the local politicians.

That's because there aren't too many websites around that can tell the board members how to think.

They get their talking points from national websites that talk about national issues.

The only time we really get a lot of LA talk around here is if the Hayride has a story that gets em all riled up.

there are some very good election integrity bills coming through before the session is over, see SB 221 and HB 704.
