I suspect whatever came from it would be soundly rejected by the Einstein-level intellects that are the Louisiana voting population.

Good.

Not that some of them weren't possibly good ideas but it should force the legislators to actually legislate for once instead of just pawning it off on the voters solely.

Problem is that the overly bloated Louisiana Constitution requires these issues go to the voters.

Landry has lost a good bit of his MAGA base!

He is the corrupt establishment politician continuing to run Louisiana as it was run before and he is not a MAGA guy. He has been a huge disappointment.

That is a big reason why these failed.

Louisiana can do better than Landry, but on his worst day he's still better than that bought-and-paid-for POS Jon Bel Edwards.

He was bought and paid for by the same money, ambulance chasers

Most of us have been conditioned to vote “no” on everything on principle.

Then why do bad tax measures almost always win in a landslide?

Men are logical but men are also visual creatures. The commercial running here with Julie Emerson said maybe think twice about hopping into bed with that. She is built like a linebacker and has thinning male pattern baldness. Made me think that if I voted yes to her she was going to whip out a footlong.

A lot of people vote no on all amendments. It's one of the most ignorant things about this state.

The problem with jamming 4-5 things into a constitutional amendment is if someone likes 3 of them but is worried about the 4th it fails completely.

Exactly.

So if you're a fan of the tax stuff but leery of the TRSL stuff, you'll vote no. It was pure stupidity to try to cram them all into one amendment. They clearly thought this was their best strategy to market it, and they failed spectacularly. Hell, the vitriol towards 2 may have sunk the other 3.

They would have had more support if the amendments were less shitty and put on a major election ballot.

What are we to make of this? Does Jeff still have a handle on things?

It's nice to see the left and the right joining together to make Jeff Landry look like the blithering idiot that he is.

Landry and his supporters in Baton Rouge got bitched slapped by the voters. It’s a direct indication of how people really think about him.

You're using good decisions as evidence of bad decisions? You yourself are a perfect example of what I said.
