quote:

I want to address the stories told to The New York Times by five women named Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia who felt able to name themselves and one who did not.

These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly. I have been remorseful of my actions. And I’ve tried to learn from them. And run from them. Now I’m aware of the extent of the impact of my actions. I learned yesterday the extent to which I left these women who admired me feeling badly about themselves and cautious around other men who would never have put them in that position.

I wonder how the public will react though.

That mea culpa just makes me - I like the way he says twice how they admired him.

So he asked them if they wanted to see his dick, they said yes, and now he’s in trouble for that?

I read the excerpts from his statement. For a guilty man, he really handled his response perfectly (as much as a response in this situation can be).

When women make accusations like this they are very rarely lying.

He brings up a point that I brought up yesterday. And his response is the best way to handle it. He admits to doing it but didn't see anything wrong with it. He didn't see him as being in a position of power over the women, but his status as a comic may make his question...not so much of a question. So my question is, what if he asked to have sex with them, and they did? At what point is a person supposed to know whether or not the person they are asking feels intimidated and is afraid to answer the question? It's almost an unanswerable question. So can any lay person who's had sex with a celebrity come back and say that they felt they had no choice because of their status?

Agreed. It may be bizarre, but if the participants gave consent?

Here’s why I don’t buy this. If you were truly remorseful for your actions, did you reach out to these women at any point before these allegations came to light and express regret for your actions? I highly doubt it. Being remorseful after you’ve been caught is very self serving.

His response is perfect; however, the audience to which he is speaking is 90% deranged SJW whackos

His career is over
