quote:Rich Baris is full of shite. The electorate shifts on this issue against whomever has the upper hand. The Dems had the upper hand, so the electorate leaned right. Now that the Repubs have the upper hand - and they WILL overplay it as they have in Texas - the electorate will lean left.
Rich Baris has done extensive polling on this. The needle on abortion has shifted right. This is another loser for Dems. They can "get out" the vote on the 35% that strongly support abortion but the other side has more voters to move.
If the Republicans could control the nutballs, and propose common sense state laws that allow the first trimester only, they could win on this issue. Instead they are going all out in a bunch of states, and that will hand the issue to the Dems if they’re smart enough to take it - they’re not! So what will happen is each party will do its level best to give the winning hand to the other party. Eventually a statesman will come along, as President, and make a deal with the other party’s centrists, and that will become the federal law of the land on abortion.

To win, Democrat opposition always has to produce more votes than the dims can steal or fabricate…

But I'm waiting for the actual voting numbers. The DEMs can really GOTV when motivated (see: 2020 presidential election)
You REALLY believe 81 million?

The polling about abortion is way off. You can't tell me that more people are pro-choice than pro-life. They mostly take those polls in blue cities anyway, so they are inherently skewed.
