If tweet fails to load, click here. ÑB4 Bunky posts the midrats. The Navy spouse that did a interview whining for her husband needs called out. All reporters that reported this as a political hit piece, civilian and Navy Times, need investigated.

Stars and Stripes, as well as AFR/AFTV were captured and compromised a long, long time ago. Really, under Clinton.
The left never sleeps.

Three staff members from the Stars and Stripes military news outlet are suing to challenge their recent firings by the Pentagon, accusing the Trump administration of violating their First Amendment free speech rights to speak out against government interference in their work.
Stars and Stripes publisher Max Lederer, editor-in-chief Erik Slavin and Middle East reporter Lara Korte are named as plaintiffs in the federal lawsuit filed Thursday in Washington, D.C.
The Pentagon, which partially funds the news outlet, fired them last week. A Pentagon spokesperson declined to comment on the suit’s allegations.
Slavin says he was dismissed for insubordination after giving an interview to CBS News in which he objected to potential censorship by the U.S. military.
Korte participated in the same interview. Their lawsuit says they were punished in retaliation for publishing a report on deteriorating conditions aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln.

Lederer was dismissed shortly after announcing his impending retirement, effective at the end of September. He said the Pentagon had installed a new deputy publisher, an active duty service member, under him at the newspaper without his prior knowledge.
The suit’s plaintiffs are represented by attorneys from Democracy Defenders Fund, Lawyers for Good Government, Government Accountability Project and a Yale Law School clinic.

Not surprised to see this.

You are so very correct. It is why in the midrats threads on this... I kept telling numbskulls that these papers were infiltrated. At times even with active duty journos in the Navy at the Navy Times/Military Times, that were not apolitical.

Newsflash.
1st Amendment guarantees your freedom of speech, not your job.

It is sad that they think it was their job to publish misguided USS Naval cruise ship conditions as not a human interest story, but a geopolitical hit piece.

I just assume these were left wing people implanted into this group and now they're wearing the title of the group like a skin suit, like all progressives do.

Bunk just eats the leftwing propaganda

Give them the red stapler, put them in the broom closet, in the basement…

Where are the posters that carried threads on this subject for 20 something pages...White Knighting for the stars and stripes, Military Times, Navy Times?
They claimed our own military conplaining about ships conditions, in hit pieces via their spouse...and these papers criticized--was a cardinal sin.

Real talk, is this supposed to be a government mouthpiece or truly independent media?

Stars stripes is partially funded by the Pentagon. Navy Times and Military Times back in the day were AD journos as a rate.
Truthfully not sure if civilians took the journos jobs or hyperpartisan AD journos became a thing under Obama's purge and Biden?
Rate= a journalist, a chaplain, a Radioman, Machinist Mate...i. e... their jobs.
A lot of rates (job titles)were eliminated a journalist may have been one?

You can't be independent media when you are funded by the government.
