Local talk radio believes the Al Franken ethics hearing is a trap.

Their theory is that this is one big plan to have Franken fall on the sword... Which would lead to them doing the same with Moore
Radio goes further to claim that the end game is to make Trump sit through a hearing based on prior allegations

How the frick does the President have to sit through a Senate ethics hearing? Their "ethics" committee exists to delay and whitewash charges. It is another perk,like the gym and the cafeteria.

Leland has let his hatred of Moore go to his head. It really is sad, he has claimed being neutral all week but has stated so many times he wants Moore to lose.
If anyone needs to step aside it is him. He'd much rather Jones win just to see Moore lose it's pathetic on his part.
I've wanted to call in all week but he would just be a bitch and cut me off.

Haha I wasn't going to call him out but you hear it too.
I think he wants the GOP to get the seat buy he cannot stand Moore. Doubt he votes for either one of them.

I agree. I usually enjoy his show, but his dislike of Moore is driving his coverage of this saga way more than he is letting on. I’m pretty disappointed in bham talk radio in general this week. I’m not really a fan of letting callers on the air to deciminate 3rd hand information or to make claims that can’t be verified. If they want to put callers like that on the air, they need to be vetting their stories beforehand. I guarantee you that if someone was calling in to say Gus or Saban sexually assaulted or harassed them, those callers would not make it on air or the call would be dumped immediately. However, that’s exactly what they are doing with every whackjob resident of Gadsden who claims to have had an encounter with Moore.

I don’t think they are in a back room plotting out strategy like this in DC. These guys all think short term, which is why they change their opinions based off of polling data. What they are are opportunists. One fricked up situation is seized upon to advance another separate agenda. They aren’t having Franken fall on his sword to get Moore, but Franken has certainly given them an opening thanks to his own misdeeds.

It doesn't change the fact that he is likely right. Franken will be used to ensure Moore is removed before he even has a chance to set up shop.
And it's fine by me. Moore is a terrible candidte. I just hope Granny Guv appoints someone other than Strange.
