Im certain every generation of believers has had a large segment that believed they would see the end of time and the return of Christ, so I definitely understand the hesitancy to entertain those types of thoughts.
But I would like to take a poll here of sorts. What percentage chance would you wager that either you or your children will live to see the events described in Revelation take place?
Many prophecies have taken and are taking place to one degree or another, though not all of them.
I place my percentage at around 25%.

The creation of digital currencies for one. A means have been created and will most certainly be implemented which could prevent someone from buying and selling freely.

Government, and religion have the same ultimate message.
Trust us, or bad things will happen. There’s some focus on the good, but “do it our way or you’re screwed” is the bedrock both are built on.
I think it’s pretty much hard wired into the species, as human beings are fantastic at adapting. We learn by screwing up enough till one gets it right, then translate that to the rest.

"No one knows but the Father". A gazillion dollars has been made on eschatology. Every generation since the disciples has thought the end would occur in their generation. I don't know that anything has changed. I don't know anything that others don't. So, all can you do is be prepared.

This topic is interesting, but, it's not political and is better suited for the OT, along with every other thread on this very topic that appears about once every single week.
PS I don't care what your Pastor is telling you about the last days, but, he'd be serving you better if he stuck to what Jesus said about it - only the Father in Heaven knows.

I'm not sure if I or anyone in my family will see it, but it is time. Our society is so far gone that I hope it happens soon. Humans have always been horrible, but with the narcissism and complete disownment of God's word these days we have reached a new level.
