You're fricking retarded. They don't need to be close when they have proven reserves right there.

quote:

Alaska possesses substantial natural gas reserves, particularly on the North Slope, estimated at 35 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of proven reserves with potential for much more. While significant gas is produced, most of it is currently reinjected into oil fields to maintain pressure. However, there are ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure for commercializing and distributing this gas, including the Alaska LNG project.

“If your business requires government subsidies in the form of tax credits for anyone to invest or for any profit to be made, you don't have a sustainable business model.”

Elon.. farmers.. oil industry all say good morning :)

Which ones?

All of them.

Some aren’t “paid”, because it’s just an offset to existing tax liability

So, the taxpayers?

Others are “paid” via the govt for protecting supply chains globally.

So, the taxpayers?

Others are “paid” by land owners getting their property taken at rates they can’t negotiate themselves.

So, the taxpayers?

Yes I would in the amount of decreased taxes that pay for those subsidies

You’ll just pay it on the increased price of energy. I don’t disagree that’s a more transparent way to do it, but we’re well past that. We spend over $80B a year protecting global oil supply chains.

Mostly. But I don’t think taxpayers are paying for eminent domained property. They are the beneficiary and pay a below market price.

Probably was planning to embezzle the money because that's what the Murkowskis do.

At whose expense, though? The original (taxpaying) landowner, correct?

(So, even in a zero sum game for some, all subsidies are ultimately paid by taxpayers, so they are paying these subsidized utility costs, sometimes for other utility customers.)

I agree with your point in general. Tax payers ultimately take in all burdens. But it’s not apples to apples like budgetary items. It disproportionally hits some depending on the subsidy.

This has been the Dems MO for years: screw people over, renig, go back on agreements, etc and not give 1 damn about the fallout. You might even say this move came out of the dem playbook

Why would she be so driven to protect "clean energy projects" in a state driven by oil???? I smell a rat, wonder where her cut of these subsidies is being hidden.....

I think the democrats can teach some things about warfare. You can learn things from everyone, even pricks.

Well then, there is no issue at all. The private companies that drill for natural gas should be all over drilling and setting up Alaska with unlimited natural gas. Why aren’t you “schooling me” about all of the gas production in Alaska?

I wonder why the people who actually live in Alaska say that they don’t have an unlimited supply?

Let me suggest something to you. You don’t know anything about what you are talking about. Private companies are not producing unlimited reserves in Alaska because it is cost prohibitive and there isn’t enough return to justify the investment. You are just talking shite out of your arse.

They are producing in the Permian because they make money doing it.

These tax credits would help to alleviate a looming energy crisis along Alaska’s Railbelt, the electrical grid that serves roughly 75 percent of the population, due to declining resources of natural gas.

Prudhoe Bay and the North Slope have one of the largest NG deposits in North America.

That's in your own state, Senator Murkowski. Why, then, are there "declining sources" of NG? I want you to answer that.
