Life of a political X poster has to be miserable (Eric Daugherty)

Do they spend every waking hour scrolling news? I know there is a lot of people who do this but it seems like a miserable life, spending that much time on a screen. I guarantee he doesn’t put his phone down from daylight till dark and even past dark, every day.

I hate that guy but until X recently changed its payout rules for "influencers" he was probably making an easy $30-40K per month.
Plenty of people would do what he does for that money
Not sure how the recent changes affected his payout but it's obvious he's still making money since he is still going as hard

Yea one guy which way less engagement and way fewer followers, had a meltdown last week because he was demonetized for various reasons. He admitted he was making $8k every two weeks.

Yes
He and that Dom Lucre guy were both making that much from X and still taking in other money. Dom was demonized from X for being an "aggregator" and not an actual creator but admitted he was still taking $500 to retweet people at the same time, which is against X rules.
People are greedy and will take every dollar then can

You need to have at least 5 million organic impressions in the last 3 months to even be eligible and the minimum payout is $30 biweekly.
I believe the new terms were created in 2024. Who knows what the prior terms were but that’s one helluva gap in dollars discussed here and he certainly wouldn’t have had as much of a following back then. Not that I think he has that big of a following now.
