All of us sane people know this Impeachment is a clown show. What do you think?

Will it cost the Dems the House next year? I think it will.

Based on history, yes.

Based on polling, yes (which I don't put much trust in)

Based on Trump's ability to get Democrats to play into his hand 98% of the time, yes.

In my opinion, those Democrats in Trump districts will be destroyed. Those in blue districts will be fine UNLESS they're in a district that's barely blue with lots of independents.

Further, those independents that watch people like Jimmy Dore and Dave Rubin obviously know this is one giant bullshite game.

And there's lots of us.

Thanks for your perspective. Do you consider yourself a liberal or Indy?

Indy. Used to have an R next to my name until the Patriot act was approved.

Thought Obama would kill it. Instead he used it.

Furthering my opinion that D's and R's are all puppets who smoke cigars together while doing absolutely nothing for the US citizens. Politicians, that is.

Kind of why I like Trump (most days). He's managed to piss off the little bitches in DC.

I'm an independent, but not a moderate, and I had zero intention of voting for Trump before all this shite started. If anything, I now may vote Trump just to punish the Democrats for setting this horrendous precedent.

Doubt it. I'll vote a straight R ticket though.

This is me. The frickery I've seen the last three years would make me vote for just about anyone over whatever the left puts up there. I thought the tea-party shite years ago was nuts. This is 10 fold beyond that.

Just curious, but what was so bad about the tea party that you opposed?

They basically wanted smaller government, less taxes and less spending.

Instead of allowing McConnell to end the Senate trial with no witnesses appearing, I think the Democrats should wait until being allowed to do so.

Meanwhile they can keep investigating and adding new articles and also adding to the total of 400 bills passed by the House so far this session.

If they allow a sham trial in the Senate with just a vote and no witnesses, after the vote not to convict, Trump will claim 100% vindication.

The first instance will help the Democrats the second would not.

If Trump had not been so brazen about the whole Ukraine matter this whole thing would not have happened. Sure some Democrats in the House wanted impeachment from January, but the majority did not until August.

And until the hearings started many Democrats were still against impeachment. Perhaps for practical political reasons, but also because they thought the step was too drastic.

But the threat to the 2020 election was the deciding factor.

In other words, keep digging and digging until they can trump up something that might stick a little bit better than this current nonsense.

No reason to not be brazen about it. He didn't do anything wrong.

Yeah, God forbid, he might actually win again. Can't have that.

You people really are subhuman.

Imagine being so consumed with TDS you cannot even fathom how insulting you are to the voters who would decide this election. Your votes aren't what swayed this election! You don't know your own mind! A request for an investigation into a corrupt POS's family is why you made the wrong choice!

It's definitely not helping them on fundraising as another article on this board has pointed out.

why are independents not sane?

And to answer your questions - yes it will hurt and is a misguided effort. Waste of time, resources, grinds congress to a halt (not that congress does anything).

I don't know about losing the house or not, that would take a visceral reaction which I am not sure is going to be there.

Not opposed to the tea party's want of smaller government. Meant more along the lines of the protests and hysteria that came with them.
