Liberals are saying blacks helped Jones win, okay so where have they been before?

If blacks helped Alabama get a Democrat senator, where have they been for every statewide race in the past 25 years? I’ll wait.

This is probably the first one is a long time where they had a chance to make an impact.

Alabama has been a Dem State since statehood. It has only been recently the shift to red.

Bama is 26% black. You only needed about that much percentage in the white vote to win.

Waiting on others to pick them up.

When you have no chance, you tend to be less engaged. Probably just woke up a sleeping giant.

Jones peel d off enough moderates and college-educated white women for the states’s historical democratic base to get him over the hump. They turned out at 30% and voted for Jones at a 96% rate (Obama got 95% for comparison, though that’s statistically the same).
96% of 30% of the electorate pretty much got him halfway there. Just needed to get enough white support—about a third, which a dem usually won’t get in a statewide race down there.

What is your question?
More black people voted this this time, because Moore is a racist hack and Jones is somewhat of a hero in the black community for prosecuting the black church bombers.
Add that to the fact that Moore is an arse that many white people don't like, so they refused to vote for him.
And, tada! Jones wins.
I don't see what's difficult to understand.

Turnout among whites was also quite low.

Not voting like black people in every other state?

What got Jones elected was principled voters who normally would have voted for Moore sat this election out.
It was David Vitter vs. Jon Bell Edwards all over again.....

So Voter ID laws don't prevent blacks from voting after all. Good to know.

What does that mean? I understand that. But Alabama has been ruby red for the last 25 years. They have a single Dem congressional seat and have had Shelby and Sessions for decades. Now they win all of a sudden because of the black vote? That means that the black vote is the reason Alabama went Republican all these years by staying home.
Alabama was won by Jones because Moore lost votes with that crappy write in campaign which could have let him win.

Just like with the word racist, libtards have misused and over used the "melt" meme to unfortunately make it useless.

98% of registered black female voters went out yesterday. That is record numbers for that sub demographic

Doug Jones won because Roy Moore is terrible and has been forever.
