Let’s be abundantly clear on this...

From a Progressive standpoint, the issue is not Donald J Trump. The issue is anyone who stands in the way of them having total and complete power. That is their ultimate goal. So no matter who is on the ticket in November, they will oppose them.
Bush was bad. Until he became useful to them.
McCain was bad. Until he became useful to them.
Romney was bad. Until he became useful to them.
Red Candidate Bad.
Get used to it.
Suck it up and dig in. The fight is on. Ride or Die.

If Trump said tomorrow he was not going to run for re-election and he was stepping aside for Pence they would immediately savagely attack him.

PS - I went to bed last night depressed over things, and now I check in around noon and find we've gone from bad to worse.

You need to understand, though, that the "Right" are the about 10% of Americans standing over there, and the "Left" are the about 10% of Americans standing right next to them. And then there's the 80% of Americans who serve in the role of "useful idiot."

I might have argued with you more before toilet paper shortages and the ungodly level of pandering and CYA statements recently to appease the mob and the almost reverence for the virus.
I believe most people don't pay must attention because they think it is all bullshite. I am beginning to think they are right.
