Let’s address the stupidity of the ole miss kneeling

The coach’s explanation for the kneeling was that there was a hate group on campus.
Can someone please tell me why kneeling for the American National anthem has anything to do with a supposed hate group being on campus?

I disagree with kneeling for the anthem but whatever there is free speech and apparently no guidelines for behavior (DUMB).
However, I do have more respect for doing this for a specific reason, not just cops suck, military sucks, capitalism sucks, or racism is alive more today than ever before.
If they stand next time, I will have some respect. They disagreed, they drew attention, and now they continue to respect the flag and country.

It's still dumb - they used the national anthem as the platform for a protest when their grievance wasn't with the United States.
Had they been protesting the wall or the war on drugs or whatever, I still wouldn't like it but it would at least make logical sense.
