Exactly. The same thing. Well there is one difference. The US corporate tax only hurts US citizens in the end instead of tariffs that does hurt foreign companies that use slave labor to undercut American workers.

The benefits come back as soon as the democrats vote yes on their own CR they lock step voted for 13 times during the last administration.
They come back when the democrats decide to not force policy by shutdown. You know… the way it’s done by what Dems call “our democracy”. Our democracy that is apparently in peril according to them… while they attempt to force policy… defying the republican majority.. that was elected to represent the people in “our democracy”.

The purpose of tariffs in this administration is to give Trump unchecked “strong-arm” control over major economic levelers that he can use to get every corporation and country in the world to “bend the knee” at his will. He’s used it to silence all public dessert coming out of Wall Street and every president moving forward will do the same if the SCOTUS doesn’t strike them down.

So in conclusion.. with the withdrawal of any tariffs… the democrats should likewise surrender their demand for additional spending due to the falling revenue and vote on their own Biden CR to reopen the government.
