Lebron criticizing NFL and is wrong once again

He states:
This is simply false. Its a false premise that one day may end up coming back to haunt these guys. Fan support is not relative to the athletic talent of the players. It never has been and never will be. If America really valued sheer displays of physical talent, track and field and Olympic weightlifting would be much more popular here.
It helps to have those rare physical talents to have an advantage over other teams to WIN games. America loves winning, they love supporting their regional teams. This is why college football is so popular.
Another miscalculation by Lebron. He is trying to garner sympathy I guess for these players. The problem is that Americans dont like entitled brats and they arent blind. These arent your lunch pail bruised up rough looking men from the 70s NFL with teeth missing who quietly went about their business when they werent playing football. Now we see them living lavish lifestyles, wearing designer suits to press conferences. We see instagram pics of them on vacation on a yacht in the Caribbean surrounded by beautiful women. These are not sympathetic people.
I guarantee you this, even the everyday leftist who goes to bat for these outspoken NFL players, secretly, in the back of their mind harbors some resentment for having to defend ridiculous notions from millionaire playboys while they live paycheck to paycheck.
Lebron, those of us regular white working class people are glad these players are getting paid well and living good lives to entertain us on Sundays. The resentment comes from them taking full advantage of capitalism in one hand, while trashing it with the other.

Frankly, I actually blame the owners for this me-first attitude the players have developed. The owners know it’s a bottom line business and to bring in the bucks, you have to appease the stars. Unfortunately they allowed the players to run the asylum and now they’re paying for it. Look at the super teams. Look at the small market basketball teams that don’t have the exposure nor the facilities of major teams like the Celtics or Lakers.
Lebron is a petulant bitch but as long as the owners cowtow to these guys, they’ll continue yapping.

The players make the ship go, but if you get rid of players that aren't performing while you are white and they are black, you are basically a slave owner.
