A cat 5 hurricane in NOLA at the exact time of this meeting would have been a win win.

So MLK’s name should be removed from just about everything due to his “complex” past

Next? Already done

Mark Twain: Inexcusable racist or man of his time?

The author Mark Twain was a lot of things to a lot of people: cigar-chomping social critic, curmudgeon, knee-slapping loose cannon who would have frowned at -- and mocked -- the phrase "politically correct."

A decision by a Nevada state panel sheds light on another descriptor for the American man of letters held by many, even today: racist.

Little House on the Prairie is racist?

Overall, no. It's one of my favorite book series, but it's been awhile since my last reading. There was ONE passage (I believe it was in Little House in the Big Woods ) where they went to see a minstrel show and enjoyed it (we all know how racist such productions were, but they were an accepted part of American emtertainmen af the time), but that was hardly the subject of point of that book or the series.

The TV show had no such references at all, from my recollection.

Huh? Little House on the Prairie is racist?

Let me help you out to prevent confusion in the future. Everything any white person has ever done is now considered racist. Just keep that in mind and you will fit in with today's America.

Laura Ingalls Wilder was silent to the plight of transgender and other gender non-conforming individuals. That is simply unacceptable and changing the name of the award is a good step toward not allowing such behavior to be normalized.

Since they've removed LIW from the award, they should change it to the Leslea Newman Award.

It is, after all, what they really want to do.

bring back Sambo's restaurant!

Also if you watch The Jeffersons, George is a bigoted racist and it was okay because he is black.
