The only fed interest in this would be protecting her and ushering the case through a friendly jurisdiction.

Who would she be negotiating with? The feds? They don't give a shite if she steps down

Same with the state (AG is Jeff Landry, I mean...)

A city indictment?

What?

The feds will prosecute her if they have a case (and there are rumors she may have some campaign finance investigations going on).

Indicting and prosecuting Nola mayors is a tradition for the WLDA

I’ll pitch in for her first class upgrade on the flight to whatever federal penitentiary she goes to.

This is victim complex pussy thinking, and it's just absurdly emotional and irrational.

No thanks.

All I will say is maybe.

Lot of chatter but apparently someone in the circle of trust has been talking to the feds.

Does it really matter? The next person in will be just as corrupt and support crippling policies to the city.

All Democrats are bad but I think Helana would do a pretty good job. I Don't think she could ever get elected but if she gets appointed I think she would do a lot of good.

Why would you assume this?

And you are naive. The city is not repairable because of the electorate and people that work for it. Including Moreno. It's over.

Wasn’t she a proponent of either UBI or Universal healthcare (or both)?

By proponent, I mean that she plans to implement it (them).

What I gather from your info is that the feds have a case against her, and her lawyer is probably trying to work out a deal for her. Knowing how dumb she is, her lawyer is most likely instructing her to resign and get out of the spotlight as much as possible so that she doesn’t mess it up. I agree with other posters in saying that resigning wouldn’t protect her from federal prosecution, but it could be connected in this way. I hoping it’s true too.

This wouldn't be legal. What party would she be negotiating with?

Moreno would be smarter in front of the camera, but would implement the same destructive policies as destroya. New Orleans is finished. North Shore and gulf coast stacked.

It used to be, now, I’m not so sure.

I could see her being sentenced to a year or two in the Martha Stewert correctional facility where she will write a book that somehow sells shite tons of copies.

Hard time or any long term sentence - I don’t see it.

I guess (hope) we will see.
