I’m a Catholic and the Church can take the criticism. Calm your nerves. The Church will always prevail. The pope can be wrong on a stance and it has no effect on your faith or the Church’s teachings. We’ve even survived bad popes.

I’m always up for a good roast of Catholicism, but recent Popes have taken positions and said things that have baffled even faithful Catholics.
The Pope is a public figure. When he says something questionable, it is going to be news.
