The funny thing is, this board is often decried as a collection of backward knuckle-dragging republican Neanderthals from Louisiana, but it's almost impossible to point to one poster who has ever been gung-ho rah-rah supportive of this fricking guy.
This board LOVED him as AG and a sizeable amount were strongly supportive of him in the election.

Texas needs to annex its poor little sister Louisiana. At least that would get rid of all the potholes!

Oh another thing he “worked”’ on: putting 17 year olds in adult jails despite federal regulations that prohibit minors from interacting with adult inmates
I went to a high school graduation in the jail here today. There were 7 graduates. One was 17. He was not able to be in the same room with adult inmates so he had attend the graduation from a different room using CCTV. It also required more deputies, which are hard to come by as it is. What a waste of resources just to scare some kids.

The 17 year old rule is absolutely needed. The worst offenders are mostly young adults. The juvenile justice system is a joke. It has nothing to do with scaring kids but arresting burglars, vehicle thieves and murderers.
Vehicle theft is out the box right now and 99% of the suspects are between 14 and 20.

Do you know that all these juveniles who commit serious crimes basically have their records expunged when they become an adult. It goes away like it never happened. No one knows and you can't hold it against them in court.
I guess screw the victims and citizens of the communities these little terrorists live in. You think they are going to stop. You think they were rehabilitated in Collis Temple's many group homes that he has scammed the state into using as housing for adjudicated juveniles.

More like a lot of people just didn't want another JBE.
