it just seems so easy for me to defuse the situation on both sides.

The cop could have flashed his badge to the best man and said "you and everyone with you needs to leave now...if you don't, I'll arrest him on his wedding night and he'll never forgive you."

The groomsmen should have done everything in their power to defuse the situation as well...including bum rush him TF out of there at the first sign of trouble.

It's amazing to me that this incident was allowed to go this far. I genuinely feel bad for Andrew...

I was blitzed on my wedding night and if the pope was being aggressive towards me, i can't say what I would have done. Its just a bad look all around.

The groomsmen should have been more aware of the situation for it not to escalate. The unfortunate thing is that most rational people would have done same on their wedding night, but this will be overshadowed by his political party and position.

Well the last guy was a midget who had that leg extension surgery, so still an improvement.
