I believe so. But he's assuaging his guilt by pandering.

You are really impressed with yourself. I’d wager you are one of the least educated posters participating in this thread.

You are racist. You think you are better than dark people and you think they need your pity. I’m brown. I don’t want your pity. I guarantee I’m more educated. And I am telling you...you are racist.

people blame it on cultural differences and lack of fathers, etc. It's so much deeper than that.

This is the only thing you’ve said so far that has a hint of validity to it

Cowboys and Indians" in 2018 is not only insensitive, but it's completely ignorant.

I guess we better ban the Western then. Time to burn all the old John Wayne movies while we are at it.

What's is more insensitive, a bunch of kids playing cowboys and Indians or a bunch of do-gooder white libs white knighting for every minority under the sun because they don't believe they have the ability to do for themselves?

you are words deep, man. allow yourself to read and comprehend history. Then, take yourself on the other side of the argument. Learn a thing or two about the other side...why they think that way, etc.

there's validity in what other people are saying. there are also people who take advantage of situations too. They don't speak for the truth.

When you consider what Europeans immigrants did to the Native Americans, a party themed as "Cowboys and Indians" in 2018 is not only insensitive, but it's completely ignorant.

Look I grew up going to powwows and my grandkids will still be classified as native american even if no fresh blood is added. So while not exactly a historian, I can tell you that what the European immigrants did to us pales to what we were doing to ourselves.

Drop the pity party for us poor redmen. We aren't where we are now because of the white man, progress and refusal to adapt are what spelled the end for us. The ones who are willing to work hard and get out still do great. But way to many are happy to be worthless and get a check. Hmmm seems like that could be said of a few other groups.

The soft bigotry of low expectations you have expressed for minorities in this thread is truly astounding. Since you refuse to listen to what minorities in this thread are telling you, I'll say it in plain English.

They don't want your help!!. They are telling you that they are perfectly capable of doing for themselves, and they don't want your pity. They don't want you dismissing their accomplishments by painting them as poor and disadvantaged because of their skin color and not capable of achievement unless more people like you help them.

If you truly strive to treat minorities as equals, do it through actions. Don't use every opportunity you can to remind them they are oppressed in some way.

I have equality. The only time I am made to feel bad about being Mexican is when some smug white kid thinks he is better than me and patronizes me. Just like you are doing. It’s really insulting and super racist.

This frame of thought is flawed in so many ways it’s not worth trying to get into it - other than painting with broad generalizations is ignorant and only done to make a specific conclusion. Ie. It’s an excuse for bad outcomes.

Question - if your hypothesis is true explain the success of Asian and Jewish immigrants and communities in the US. They don’t have white privelege do they?

have never once seen, heard of or played land owner and slaves.

i'm white and grew up in south louisiana from the late seventies to early nineties.

That game wasn't even played back in the 50s & 60s. I was there. Never heard of it. Can't see how it would have been any fun, anyway. Cowboys and Indians was fun because it had pretend horses and hats and boots and bows and arrows and six shooters.
