Kentucky gov andy bashear has turned down an offer from president trump's administration to halt refugee resettlement.
" Kentucky has welcomed refugees for well over three decades,"Beshear
wrote in a letter to mike pompeo.
"Refugees in Louisville, Lexington, bowling green, owensboro, and other locales have contributed to the workforce and economic development of our state."

If there's anything a state that has some of the absolute poorest counties anywhere in the country needs, it is economic competitors for low-wage jobs. Especially when employers get some bullshite tax credit for employing those poor, woeful foreigners.

Cross Kentucky & Virginia off the list of states i am considering retirement.
Tennessee & Texas are still viable. North Georgia as well.

According to the article even if states opt out under Trump's order they can still accept refugees but they will not get funding for gubment assistance.
