WTI and Brent both down a little over 1% so far this morning.

Dont we only get 2% of our oil from the Strait while China gets about 50% of their's from there?

The US will be fine on domestic supply.
But if the Gulf is closed China, Japan, India will all look to alternative suppliers. Law of supply and demand. Prices would increase globally, including domestic oil.

I don't know if they were close to making a bomb or not. Do know they intended to make a bomb, because they had enriched uranium to 60%. Let's assume at some point in the future they got to the point where they could/would make a bomb, would we be justified in taking their capability out? I say yes we would be justified in doing so.
Based on that, taking that capability out now when we could do it and not get American military hurt was a no brainer. (because they wanted to get to a bomb and we would take them out when they did)
