LINK to me doing this, too, please.
you argued against trumps EO on the grounds that is already illegal for them to vote and the EO is unnecessary

And here I thought the voters of NYC were dumbasses! Coldwater elected an illegal as their mayor!

Which EO? What did I say?

and the EO is unnecessary

That is a different argument than this

quote:

opposing the passage and/or enforcement of measures

Calling something unnecessary =/= opposing the policy.

You’re arguing with a fundamentally dishonest person.

You’re a toddler who argues just for the sake of arguing by molding your positions to fit whatever narrative is convenient

Again, another example of dishonesty

I won't ask you to show your work and just note it to add to the others in this thread.

You’re arguing semantic points to make yourself feel better about your overall shite point.

What number of non-citizens voting in an election would signify a problem?

I know it won't happen, but it would be nice if people simply stopped engaging him at all. Let him comment, but NEVER respond.
I avoid reading his comments or any responses people make to him because it completely bogs down the discussion and mostly drives the thread off-topic. He seeks attention and has a driving need to be active on this board as his outlet for said attention. I.e. stop feeding the most accomplished troll on TD poli board.

I don’t care enough to “show” my work. You are a child and it would be pointless. You would claim that wasn’t really your position. It’s what you do and others fall for it every time

Not at all. People are fundamentally mis-stating positions and in some cases making shite up entirely.

quote:

about your overall shite point.

That OP relies on a straw man?

How is that a shite point?

quote:

What number of non-citizens voting in an election would signify a problem?

The question should be phrased in terms of % and not total numbers.

The real question, as always, is the costs involved compared to the potential threat.

That's why policies like requiring ID (low cost) to vote are good policies.

The problem, as always, is that when people are willing to engage in dishonesty and fraud, they have an advantage. How much of a burden on legal, law-abiding citizens is worth the cost of impact? That's when the potential threat enters the calculation. High-cost solutions that are not likely to make any meaningful difference are going to be an issue.

Let's do this to test the validity/quality of that question (as I explained the problems with it beforehand). You answer first and show us how easy it is.

What number of non-citizens voting in an election would signify a problem?

When the number of known illegitimate voters approaches 50% of the delta between the winner and the loser.

It wasn’t even hard to answer. You don’t want to answer because you don’t really believe what you say.

Because you’re a fundamentally dishonest person.

That sounds reasonable for discussion purposes, but it would be very difficult to be enacted as a policy.

The way I read your question required a response of an integer.
