Any representative can generate a bill, does not mean it is going to get any traction. Some of you people are like a bunch of women.

Pigs get fat; Hogs get slaughtered.

Meh, SFP has been saying this since before the midterms. Meanwhile Rs have all three houses.
This likely won’t pass but I like the we are moving the ball in the right direction. Abortion is a detestable practice and it will be relegated to the same historical place as slavery.

fricking stupid. State issue. No shot it’ll pass but if it does, Trump veto would be glorious.

But the people behind this bill are just playing political football.
Could be, but it's still the right thing to do.
Even if they are doing it for the wrong reason.

Conservatives - it's a State's issue!!!!!
Uh huh.

Abortion has nothing to do with national defense, foreign treaties, or the regulation of interstate commerce. Unfortunately, we have some Republicans that are just as willing to piss on the Constitution as Democrats.

It does seem to violate the hell out of the fifth amendment's guarantee that no person (not citizen...person) shall be deprived of life without due process, and if state laws are allowing that to happen, that makes it a federal issue IMO.
Kind of like Jim Crow laws.
So...seems like we have plenty of populists willing to take a squirt on the constitution as well.

Again, what is your basis for claiming that?
Republicans won the Senate, the WH, and kept the House in this recent election all while the left was ginning up as much doomsday fear as possible about a federal abortion ban.
Why would Republicans be guaranteed to lose the next election over this issue after winning this one despite it?

Good lord, it’s partially this attitude that has America in the shits. You never learn.

Abortion wasn’t a major issue in the recent election. This will make it one AGAIN. What happened in mid terms the time we made it an issue?

It puts everyone on record. The ones who said “state issue” but vote for it….. I’d be shocked if a dem didn’t introduce the bill for this very reason.
