I have always thought the branched were separate but equal. How can a Judge prevent a branch from make hiring and firing decisions? Where is the "standing"?

If those hiring and firing decisions are not lawful that’s exactly what that branch of the government is for.
And judges don’t have standing. Courts have jurisdiction.

The dumb thing about this is that if they cut those jobs they can get severance for up to 1 year.

Fantastic. So this time, when the judge realizes he overplayed his judicial short hair, POTUS Trump will just fire without severence of any kind whatsoever.

Let's pray he finds 1,000's of federal employees who had another job! It will be glorious!!

Seems like a TRO, I believe this was supposed to go in effect tomorrow. So, be blocked it temporarily until they have a hearing on Monday.

More fake fricking news. Soon you bastards. Soon

WASHINGTON — A federal judge on Thursday blocked President Donald Trump’s plan to push out federal employees by offering them financial incentives.

Those two words are not compatible when discussing a rational thought. Idiot.

Challenge the severance and take 6 years doing it.

You really think DOGE is going after the Bureau of Land Management? I think not.

So wait, are VOLUNTEERS fighting what they volunteered for?

No, it's the unions worried about losing members.

When I was a govt worker (1982-1992) the old timers would spend a lot of time around the coffee pot dreaming about being offered a severance package.

How times have changed.
