re: Journalism...The Most Corrupt Profession in the Country?

The journalism profession has been slowly going to shite as more and more people enter into it with an activist mindset.
The point of journalism is to report the facts (although some degree of bias is always inevitable) so that an informed populous can act accordingly. That is a noble cause. But younger people don't understand that to be the purpose of journalism anymore.
They want to "change the world." Not report on it.

A Journalism degree is not dead. People like Rush, Hannity, (college Drop outs), Rachel Maddow (Public Policy) and Anderson Cooper (Policy Science).
They are not journalist they just play one on TV or radio.

Journalism schools are filled with liberal professors and the profession is filled with liberal bosses
So you're saying the reason it's full of liberals is because it's full of liberals? And you thought what I wrote was dumb.
Why aren't there more conservatives in the field?
Isn't this a free country? How did conservatives let liberals take over journalism and education like they have? (And don't answer because it's full of liberals - I already conceded that, I want to know WHY)

I just don't get all these Republicans bitching about the media and education being full of liberals. They wouldn't be full of liberals if conservatives would go into the fields.
Liberals are department heads at many universities and will not hire any conservative professors.

The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers.

Why have conservatives abandoned these fields?
[AND QUIT SAYING BECAUSE THEY'RE FULL OF LIBERALS, MY POINT IS TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHY THEY'RE FULL OF LIBERALS!]

Leftists satisfy their similar urges via the Church of Social Justice. Crusading Journalist and Professor are the priesthood of this church.

So you're saying that journalism and education are religions that conservatives don't believe in?

Politics is #1 and it ain't even close

I'm thinking about going back to school to study journalism and my mission is to do things the right way because it's just become way out of control.

conservaties can get church at church. They can work and make 6 figures.
Leftists can only satisfy their need to spread the SJW gospel in lower paying journalism or academic jobs. Like priests they are willing to scarifice to evangelize and serve their lord.

You are likely correct, but I excluded it intentionally..."politics" should not be allowed to be a "profession". Ever.
