What orders did Trump give that Kelly refused? Navvaro's tweet doesn't specify.

Trump was given tons of warnings about the generals - and he ignored every one of them.

As has many a man, but Trump isn't responsible for his son's death.

Oh I concur. Just commenting on the impetus on his change in behavior. Kelly is little more than an MIC lackey...after such a successful career.
But, I guess he got his, and fck the American people.

I really hate this, and sad that Kelly did this. I don't know what Kelly's state of mind is, if he's just a war hawk, if it's just left-over personal animosity or if Trump actually spoke to him and actually said what Kelly is saying, then saying Trump fits in the mold of being a fascist, but Kelly was one of this country's top military leaders, a key strategist in Iraq, head of SOUTHCOM and a gold star father. This is very distasteful and a sad moment in our history to have him become a partisan in a political fight.

I'm tracking with what you convey. They have been inculcated from their first days as cadets or newly minted lieutenants with the principle that the military must stay above the partisan fray in a democracy and submit to civilian authority. Uniformed leaders know that the nonpartisan nature of the U.S. military helps explain why it has long remained the nation’s most respected institution.

With that said, they took an oath, and it was not to the President. ' I ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.'

Before surrendering the fate of America’s sons and daughters in uniform to the whims of an unstable commander-in-chief who simply cannot grasp the meaning of their devotion and sacrifice, I hope AMERICANS, not Republicans or Democrats, will listen to the actual patriots who have devoted their lives to our nation’s defense.

Kelly is one of the guys that’s going to get his security clearance pulled if Trump wins. He’ll have no value to any boards without access to that information. He’s trying to keep the gravy train going.

Are you implying Trump is unstable and has no respect for the sacrifices made by others, because I haven't seen that from him.

I HAVE seen that from Biden, however, as he yells, shakes his fists and then threatens citizens with F-16 aircraft.

Per the Halperin podcast it was said that team establishment Obama and Kamala, DC---- begged John Kelly to go on TV and say it straight faced to a camera AND to endorse Kamala.

He said no. So even greedy, dishonorable, married to the MIC, POS like Kelly, have some standards.

I agree. That's a slippery slope. So, every general can just make the call that they are defending the Constitution and ignore orders?

So why wasn't he relieved of command if he was refusing orders?

Trump absolutely has to tighten that shite up.

It requires one to be the lowest of lows to applaud political imprisonment of opponents. frick off you commie scum

It is part and parcel of leftists ideological DNA. They love their gulags, re-education centers and killing fields.

How does one "repeatedly" refuse a president's orders?

Does the president not have authority to remove a person that reports to the president from their position for refusing an order?

Well don't you think a gutless rodent like John Kelly would do so without the President knowing it. It is not like the piece of shite to make a firm stand on principle.

He'll be much more aware of the Swamp's snake pit this time around. Also, Vance will have his back in ways that Pence was not capable.
