Ok then be honest, do you believe that you debate in good faith? You don't think you engage in subterfuge and speak as ambiguously as possible, because you aren't here to contribute, you're here to correct, condescend, and feel like you won?

You can answer your own question very easily. How often have you seen the a-hole drag threads off topic? All the time. He is a paid contributor.

Everyone can. I'm specifically interested in his response, though.

Yes.

I'm not one of the conspiracy crowd field, so no.

I do correct often because there is so much stupidity on here, amplified by certain events (MAGA rising, twitter embeds, etc.)

Thank-You for catching him on something. I honestly lack patience for his foolishness to fully show when his mask slips.

If others have it in them to catch him, please do. it is delightful to see.

Typically when people rely on "common sense" as the standard, it's at least bordering on idiotic, because other standards (like logic, objectivity, etc.) aren't options, apparently.

But..."common sense" is defined by "logic and objectivity". I dunno what oddball standard you're using to define "common sense".

when you phrase it with "rage and obsession". Those are bad things.

I should have put "unreasonable" in quotation marks. I thought you'd understand the context without them.

Rage and obsession after several years of justice NOT served is not "unreasonable"; especially when considering the extent and degree of being wronged for so long.

So...you are saying were not a fan and advocate of 0bama admin policies and practice?

If not, I apologize for the mistaken presumption.

I love when you talk about sock puppets. Exactly what is a sock puppet?

Speaking of trying to drag threads off topic. What are you even talking about?

He doesn't infer or use intuition. Because he wants to catch people saying something wrong. And he'll decide what you meant (and it's always the dumbest interpretation of your words) so as to tell you how wrong you are.

It's the most absurd way to communicate, but as we've just learned, he is completely oblivious to it.

Typically not in reality.

A great example is the "crime is getting worse" discussion.

quote:

I dunno what oddball standard you're using to define "common sense".

I am not sure because it's used so poorly by so many on here when they can't rely on reality, good data, logic, or objectivity.

You're asking the wrong guy. I'm the "data-logic (no emotions)" guy, not the reject data because I feel differently" guy who defaults to "common sense" as a crutch.

There is no such thing as reasonable rage in the context of formulating a response.

Very few, if any for obsession. I'd have to think about that in more detail.

Rage and obsession after several years of justice NOT served is "unreasonable";

They're still bad.

Uh yeah. I think the only policy I praised him on was his policy to normalize relations with Cuba.

I've never cared for the strategy to seem incredibly stupid in order to prove how smart you are. Half the time I read his responses, I incredulously wonder if he really interpreted the thing he's responding to like he's implying.

Does anyone else ever stop and think about how counterproductive this would be? The ancient prophets used to wrap their heads in wool. Probably a better idea.
