I agree, but it is hard to get voters to stop sucking off the government teet too as someone who has been delivering for his districts.

It is kind of like having a girlfriend who is always in the mood for sex and up for any thing you want.

Try dumping someone like that.

Hearing rumors of him as Commissioner

There is no way to overstate how much of a disaster Alario as commissioner could be. The fox guarding the hen house. Misspending and stealing from the billions in federal government grants that goes through the agencies that the Commissioner of Administration oversees. The effects of the damage he could do in that position could be felt for several generations.

Whether or not you like the man personally or his politics. John Alario served 48 years in the La. House and Senate from 1971-2019.

And we have slid to dead last in nearly every measurable category imaginable while Texas has absolutely exploded.

What a legacy to hang your hat on.....

An old story about him still makes me laff: During the NCAA's at the Old Box, I was walking by the gate leading to parking / tailgating behind The Box. Noticed this long black sedan pull up to the gate where this old rent-a-cop stopped the sedan. Lengthy conversation between the gate keeper & the driver, the old cop repeatedly shaking his head. Finally Alario gets out of the back seat & gets in the face of the old cop. Who stood his ground. By now a small crowd had gathered & was laffing, as the madder Alario got, the more the old cop just kept shaking his head. Finally, that moment arrived : Alario:"Do you know who I am?" Old Cop: " Yea, someone who does not have a parking pass". Crowd went nuts & Alario stormed away.

Alario has worked alongside both Democratic and Republican governors.

That’s all you need to know.

Oh, and we wouldn’t have the Alario Center without him.

It won't be shocking when he shows up in JBEs administration in another few weeks...or ends up representing the nursing home industry.
