I don't know. We'll see. My guess from his statement is we exaggerated the threats to justify intervention. But, that is a messy issue, the intelligence community seems to have so many competing factions (probably some undermine Trump and some are subservient to him) that I don't know who you believe. At the time of the Iran bombing last June, Tulsi was saying there was no threat.
Now, the really interesting part to me is why he didn't do this two weeks ago. My guess is he hoped things would wrap up in a couple of days.

I supported HW and W Bush and thought BJ Clinton did a pretty good job as POTUS.
Am I forever held to those standards without being called a hypocrite?
Why do we send kids to school to supposedly learn critical thinking and rational thought?

I disagree with Kent's take on Iran but the man did twice as many tours as me and he lost his wife to a suicide bomber in Syria. Her and he are both heros in my eyes. I respect the fact that he stepped away instead of being a distraction. However he was over counter intelligence and a hezbollah commanders brother just committed a terrorist attack on U.S. soil under his watch. He had been cut out of classified briefings and if he feels like he needs to step away. Better he step away than be a distraction.
